E-Mail #10 Nail polish & Grunts

Lads,

I don't quite know how, but we're at the 10th issue of E-Mail!!!

I really hope that you enjoyed Ynte's content last week. It was so fun to see what another person chose for the categories and I'd love to have it happen again! I did miss writing my own last week!

Onto the segments that you crave so dearly!

Good News

My good news from this week is that I can wear nail polish again at my new job. It's a small thing, but I've been working in the food industry for the past few years now and you just can't wear it. I used to be known for my nail polish collection and I've only added to it over the years. Now I can paint cute designs and I've been complimented a few times which makes me so gosh darn chuffed. Go and paint your nails, reader!

Song Crush

I have 2 song crushes this week! Both songs are new releases from two artists I really love listening to, so I hope you, dear reader, give them a listen for me!

Bad Ideas is a new single from Tessa Violet (I think it's from an album she's releasing in 2019) and to be honest, it took a few listens for me to get into it. The MV has stunning imagery and I gushed about it to friends! Tessa's music focuses around relationships, identity and wrestling with your thoughts. It's a teeny bop that I hope appeals.

RBB (Really Bad Boy) is the lead single from the groups mini 6 track album (this is the groups 4th release this year!!!) and yeah, this one also took a while to sink it. I'd be surprised if you didn't know this about me, but I really like Kpop, specifically the group Red Velvet who are absolutely dominating the kpop world right now. This song plays on the velvet side of the group, and is a continuation from honestly one of my favourite songs...of all time, Bad Boy It's a unique song so it might not appeal to everyone, but try it if you feel like a change!

Tweet of The Week

This tweet made me laugh out loud, and I immediately shared it with good pals who know whats up.

Video Corner

This is a preview scene from Kelsey Ellison's new short film, Sisters of House Black. If Kelsey's name doesn't ring any bells, this will...

Yeah, that's Dancing Hermione!

So if you like Harry Potter, or just want to get hyped about a short film, watch the scene above!

Oh, and I just wanted to put in this new video from JacksFilms that I won't even explain

Netflix Natter

A new segment!

I watch a good bulk of shows and films on Netflix, and I am ALWAYS down to talk about TV with anyone, so on occasion I'll share a bulk of content!

(TL clockwise)

Dumplin' - A film about a plus size girl whose close aunt passed away and in her honour, enters the local pageant world that her own mother dominates. A film I heard quite a bit about and was very pleasantly surprised by.

Dogs - A documentary series about what dogs mean to people. It's quite an emotional series and each story hits a different part of your heart.

The Good Place - A comedy series now in it's third series (released every Friday) around the premise of 4 people wrongly being placed in the 'good place' after their deaths. A varied show, quite unlike anything on at the moment. The most recent episode Janet(s) was a quality bit of TV.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend - A musical comedy series now in it's last season (released every Saturday) focusing around Rebecca Bunch, a successful lawyer who completely changes her life after bumping into her first love. A nuanced show that covers relationships and mental health, with a whole lot of singing. Clever, funny. It's reaching the end of the show now so I recommend jumping in now to ride the train.

Buh-Bye

That rounds up this week I think!

I'm planning on doing a 2018 special of E-Mail where I cover my absolute favourites from the year, so keep your eyes peeled for that very soon!

I'm currently doing a small series on ellamasondesign where I papercut some lyrics from my favourite Christmas songs.

Hope December is going well, if not, just paint your nails ðŸ’…

See ya!
