E-Mail #8 Fire & Games

Hello from planet earth!

Ella here, ready to serve you some tasty content!

Hope everyone had an okay week! In my past week I had a training day for my new job which I start next week and making a coat for my dog Oliver. A week where I didn't feel motivated to create anything, in a bit of a slump at the moment, hoping that the festive season can right it!

Good News

The good news this week is that The Marvellous Mrs Maisel has a new season next week! A show about a 1950's Jewish housewife who leaves her cushy life to be a stand-up comedian. It's so funny, so witty, the costumed are to die for and I recommend it to everyone I meet. You can find Midge on Amazon Prime!

Video Corner

Video Corner this week is a video of 5 adults playing a selection of whacky board games! They're all youtube personalitie,s but also a group of friends just having a fun time playing games! It's funny, a nice 20 minute watch, and an advert for some fun easy boardgames to play at parties. Watch SOME LOVELY BOARDGAMES here!

Reviews

So this week in Reviews, I'll be reviewing a recipe I found on Bon Appetite and my baking efforts!

I subscribe to the Bon Appetit youtube (Very recommend if you like really chill cooking videos that aren't preachy or in your face, just wholesome content) and when I watched the video I knew I had to make some!

These are my efforts!!!!!!!
Yeah, they don't look amazing. The recipe was a pretty good one, of course I did have to do a recipe conversion for UK measurements. It's supposedly the best cookie recipe ever but I'm not convinced? Dark chocolate and toffee sounds great, maybe I just didn't do an amazing job? Have a go if you want to make some nice cookies (if you like richer flavours) or want to improve on my mess!

Song Crush

Song crush this week is not limited to one song, but to an album! If you don't like by now, I like musicals, and I'm hopelessly devoted to Team Starkid so this album release was always going to appeal. In 2016 Starkid released a musical, Firebringer, about the stone age and the discovery of fire. Their first hopefully not last female lead musical! The music is always available on Youtube. But this week they released it on Spotify!

So if you want to listen to a cast recording of a musical about fire, catch Firebringer some absolute gems.

I think that about covers it this week!

NEXT WEEK however, Ynte will be taking over this space with his own favourite songs, videos, tweets and anything he likes! I'll be doing his newsletter next Thursday which you can subscribe to here!

Have a lovely entry into December, so wrap up warm, crack open that advent calendar, and whack on a good festive playlist!

Bye lads xoxox
